Finite. Infinite,

The theme of this exhibition, <Finite. Infinite,> emerges from my long-standing reflection on life. Life embodies finitude, yet it also harbors infinite possibilities that cannot be reduced to a fixed form or a single trajectory.

This line of thought resonates with Gilles Deleuze’s ontology. For Deleuze, being is not the realization of a fixed essence or a predetermined purpose, but an ongoing process of becoming—a movement that produces difference rather than striving toward identity. Deleuze’s concept of “becoming” does not refer to a transition toward a fixed state, but to a mode of existence that continually opens up new possibilities. From this perspective, life can be understood not as confined to finite individuals, but as a dynamic field in which infinite becoming unfolds through finite bodies. Life is finite in its existence, yet at the same time it harbors the potential for infinite becoming, continually transforming its identity and boundaries through the movement of becoming.

Living organisms in nature begin as a single cell and transform and grow into diverse forms. The possibility of becoming anything, despite seeming to be nothing at all, and the force that drives continual transformation into different forms are intrinsic to the nature of life. The process through which an organism unfolds its possibilities over time is a process of becoming that cannot be explained solely in terms of a predetermined form.

I seek to question finitude and infinity as attributes of life. Finitude is a temporal dimension revealed through the course of birth, growth, aging, and death. Infinity, by contrast, is a dimension of possibility that can be sensed through the vitality and potential inherent in all life, extending beyond the limits of individual beings, as well as through the energy of the universe and the forces of nature. I seek to explore the relationship between time and space, limitation and possibility, as they coexist within finite life.

My work focuses on life as it transforms beyond fixed appearances into fluid and amorphous forms. I seek to give visual form to the indeterminacy and potential of life—its capacity to become anything precisely because it cannot be fully defined as anything. Finite beings continually transform within the flow of infinite becoming, revealing new possibilities. Through microcosmic and evocative imagery, I seek to unfold these diverse manifestations of life and express the infinite possibilities inherent in finite life.
